Volunteer & Leader, Children’s Hope India

At Children’s Hope India, I led bi-weekly singing sessions over six months for children aged 4–8, using music as a way to build confidence, joy, and connection. A big focus of my role was introducing Hindi songs in a fun, engaging way that made learning feel natural and interactive rather than structured or formal.

I designed simple, activity-based lesson plans aimed at developing basic vocal skills, rhythm, and musical understanding. Each session was built around participation encouraging children to sing together, respond to cues, and gradually develop comfort performing in a group setting.

Beyond teaching music, I also worked on strengthening group coordination and collaboration through playful, interactive musical activities. The experience reinforced for me how powerful singing can be as a tool for learning, expression, and building community, especially for young children.
